On this week's episode, we are joined by Myles Herdman, a photographer and videographer from Bedford - although much of his work now revolves around places all over the world.Having learnt through the likes of YouTube and by just doing it, Myles has almost turned a hobby and long term interest into a creative outlet, combining his interest in photography and travelling into one, and almost documenting his travels whilst capturing some incredible shots along the way.Quickly, Myles soon discovered his own style and niche, something which we discuss in this episode - the essence of capturing 'candid' shots and how it captivates everyday life in countries all over the world and lets the picture tell a story of it's own. On this week's episode of The WON Podcast, we are joined by London based visual and audio artist, Tiim James. A member of the 164 collective, a London based collective consisting of creatives of various types, Tiim James is now looking to focus on the music production side, leading to live DJ performances, and this is being supported by the upcoming release of his new EP. Previously laying his own bars down on beats, Tiim has taken it up on himself to focus on music production, backed by his choice of degree and take the sounds he experiments and plays with to another level. In the past couple years, Tiim has released several EPs of various genres, from lo-fi hiphop to darker electronic sounds, with the latter being the main focus for his upcoming sounds.His new EP Voltage CTRL delves into deep electronic, IDM, dubstep vibes and having heard the EP recently, it shows Tiim's progression into building on this sound, a journey from his previous sounds. Having worked with many other creatives before, Tiim also works with visual productions and intends to bring the two together to create a new experience, experimenting with new and old technologies and instruments. On this week's episode of The WON Podcast, I am joined by Freddie Long, a singer/songwriter originally from the Brighton region, but now residing in London.Elements of pop, alternative and acoustic are some of the sounds you may hear in Freddie's catalog of music, but one thing you'll notice is the raw emotions and vocals which Freddie prides himself on. Citing Linkin Park as one of his musical idols, you can hear tones of that influence, however Freddie states he does not tend to dwell on his musical influences and just creates whatever he feels in the moment.Currently sitting on 2 EPs and several singles, 2022 gears up to be a massive year for Freddie with the release of his debut album being teased, evolving his previous sound whilst exploring newer combinations as he looks to experiment with what he is looking to create and release. On this week's episode of The WON Podcast, I am joined by Jake Baker-Cliff, founder of the platform, wecanfly.'Disability is not inability' perfectly captures Jake's vision for wecanfly, a platform designed improve and open up inclusivity within fashion, society and everyday life through the use of garments and practical clothing.Using his own personal story and inspirations, Jake is looking to combine his passion for sports and design to create solutions and inclusivity for people with needs not necessarily considered in the fashion industry, pushing for innovation within garments and items of clothing to provide solutions for problems that many people with disabilities currently experience. From his time at LCF and working with C.P Company, Jake has learnt practices to piece together different technologies and materials to produce well-considered solutions, as shown in pieces such as the BlindAid jacket, working closely with the charity to ensure the problem at hand was solved.
